The final line-up for the Deccan Rock festival (2011) has been announced.

This year’s edition is a 2 day metal fest & has Sybreed & Decapitated as headliners and will take place in Hyderabad.

No reviews for the COF gig and no confirmed attendees for this event. This place sucks hairy donkey balls.

And why the fuck is there no info on decapitated's official site and myspace about their appearance @ DR 2011??????? Their tour list mentions nothing about India!!!

Why is everyone so surprised that the turnout was so low?
Me and a couple of friends who went for the gig didnt expect more than 500 people and we were proved right.First of all the gig is in Hyderabad.Most people in Bangalore,Chennai,Mumbai just dont like travelling all the way there to stand in the heat the whole day in a city that is devoid of a night life.Secondly you get one major band in Decapitated and fill it up with bands from other countries who most people have never heard about.Do the organisers think that just coz theyre from another country people will fall for it?If they paid some of the top Indian bands to perform the crowd would have tripled.And finally its Decapitated who headlined.Great band and I had fun watching them but really how many people are so crazy about them to travel all the way to Hyd to watch them?
The gig was very good in a lot of respects but the organisers missed a chance to make it even better by undermining Indian bands and picking a mostly unheard of/boring mish mash of foreign bands

Why do I agree with him? What sense does it have to get these bands to Hyderabad? Banglore, Bombay and to extent Delhi would have made sense, but Hyderabad? I don't think so!
