How do you FORGET to get clearances for such a huge event? I would have thought that would be something you'd double check like a hundred times. That's an amateur mistake.

From a bands POV. I can say no band would complain, great hospitality and super care. For us it turned out to be a paid vacation. But it must suck for all the people who traveled all the way and got passes for the show.


There are plenty of stories floating around about what has happened etc. I suggest waiting for an official statement. Last thing I hear was the Home Ministers palms were not greased enough so he sent a notice and a copy with a smile. Before that i heard someone had a fight with his son and that is why it all went wrong.

So chill lets wait to see if IMC offers any explanation.

Not everything can be from a 'bands POV' people paid for this shit and they deserve an explanation all this 'official' bullshit can be done later.
Having said that I know firsthand that shit does happen for instance I heard that Cynic never got their visas there is nothing one can do about it unless their invitation letters applications and all that were delayed, but its not like you cannot prevent it, if the organizers had the slightest amount of foresight they should have done some research, known whose palms to grease well before the event, and known how much time it takes to get this shit done.

I know that, I never said otherwise. From what I know IMC had nothing to do with the Cynic Visa they were dealing with Okra entertainment for the artist management and all the foreign acts. Also I do know they did refund some tickets and stuff but yeah not saying that there is any excuse for what went down. Obviously the fans suffered the most at the end of it.

Bloody SCAM. Went all the way to Goa to watch Cynic and even more for Hacride. And then I find out that they're playing in Andheri, Mumbai a day later. Which is even more pissing off coz its right next to my place in Mumbai.
Turned up at the venue around half an hour after the scheduled first band slot and there were a maximum of 5 people that turned up to watch. I dont think there would've been more than 30 people from around India that came down to watch the bands. Was real sad thing for Hacride though. Guys apparently went down to Curly's and gave their tees for free to the fans as a little something from their side.

Heard they weren't sounding too great in Mumbai and its totally understandable coz they just played with whatever setup was given to them.

Insanely pissed off at the end of it but the only consolation was that we were in Goa.
