I'm no fan of their music but I tried to keep an open mind and I have to say they are probably the only band I've ever seen who are both awesome and boring at the same time.

Lulz.

Btw Delhi turn up was also very less this year as compared to the previous years on both the days.

Yea true, as a college student, I myself had to save some money in order to buy the tickets.

The worst turnout in the 5 years Ive been going to this festival, Meshuggah deserved better.
The choice of Indian bands was so bad, it almost put me to sleep. Before Tesseract and Meshuggah the only source of entertainment was eating chana jor garams. Surprised to see no plaudits for Tesseract, I thought they were awesome.
The DR set ( 4 songs was it) bought back memories :D

^I don't think that was the only reason (if at all that was a reason at all ), but how many people in Delhi or anywhere in India listen to Meshugahh? I doubt if they have such a huge fan following as we think they have. Now, I'm not saying getting them was wrong or anything and that RSJ should get Linkin Park or something! but I just somehow feel that probably someone like a Bodom or Opeth would ve ensured a huge turnout .

Dude you think more people listen to Freak Kitchen or Enslaved. Meshuggah is the biggest band GIR has ever seen. The turnout was low because tickets went from 250 bucks to 1100 per day.

It's not like I am taking RSJ's side here, but according to me, if the ticket price would not have gone up, then meshuggah playing at GIR would not have been possible.

^I don't think that would be 100% true... how much money are they making from ticket sales? I don't think much.
