And also, I'm insulted that you would think I read something up on Sherdog. I do keep up with the news, yes, but reading sherdog forums is a bit too much :P

Anyway, we'll see on Dec 11!

Just looked up UFC 124, and it looks to be a great card! Thoughts on Maynard-Edgar? Guida-Gomi?

Also, Carlos Conduit KTFO'ed Dan Hardy. Very impressed by his last two performances. He delivered a vicious beating to Rory Macdonald to end the match. The kids face was fucked up. Having said that, Macdonald delivered a star making performance. Very impressed by the kid!

To be honest i read the forums a lot. I get a lot of information while scanning through Sherdog. A lot of fighters post there and you get a lot of links to rare fights, training footage, the science of MMA etc.

Maynard/Edgar is going to be good. I think Frankie wins a decision based on his victory over BJ Penn. HE has better hands and should be able to stay out of Maynards reach.;
Gomi/Guida has fight of the night written all over it. Im a big, big Pride fan so i'll always be rooting for Gomi. But if Clay comes prepared with his offensive wrestling. its going to a long night for the Fireball Kid.

Also, Carlos looked fantastic that night. he was always keeping hardy at bay with those killer front push kicks to the shin. total Muay thai by Phil Nurse. And that left hook was just beautiful to watch.

Heyman Run ECW works well. Not the Monday Night Wars. I'd rather have WWE doing what its doing right now. Some of the best programming they've put out in recent years. And of course, the new batch of wrestlers are pretty damn good (Read: CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Sheamus).

^ Oh come on, are you telling me the 2011's PG WWE is as good as the WWF of the late '90s? That's a bullshit comparison and you know that. None of the new bunch could hold a candle to the locker room WWF had back then. Not possible.

Plus, both the WWF & WCW stables back then had tremendously entertaining, risqué and intriguing storylines which were hard to take your eyes away from even once you understood the predictability of the heel/face/anti-hero wrestling story-writing style.

I thought Heyman-ECW was superb. Everything he did, his booking, his storytelling, and his ability to hide the flaws of his wrestlers was uncanny. I still haven't seen a better, longer, in depth feud than Raven VS Tommy Dreamer. Until the fingerpoke of doom in WCW, i bought NWO era & Goldberg era WCW as well. Same goes with the WWF. But, to say that none of the new bunch could hold a candle to the locker room WWF had back then is pure hogwash.

I mean, look at CM Punk. This guy lives his gimmick, he's solid on the mic, and he's a pretty darn innovative wrestler as well. A ring leader. I would've loved to see what he would do in the Attitude era, but sadly, that's gone now. Check out what he did at last year's Royal Rumble (he was leading his own stable back then - a cult like Straight Edge Society - kind of what the Jackal had with his Oddities before the Oddities went all friendly)

The same goes with Bryan Danielson. Wrestling as Daniel Bryan in the WWE, this guy should become the next Benoit / Bret Hart like figure - not the greatest of talkers, but a technician in the ring. A superb one at that.
