True that. Read his article on Techtree, criticized arcade racing a lot.

Btw is Black ops that monotonous/boring that you uninstalled it before even finishing it once?

Well, it's not a bad game, but it's just not not clicking for me. Primary reasons:
- It doesn't look as good as Modern Warfare 2. Easy solitary example - Look at the way the sun reflects off the tarmac in the Wolverines! level in MW2, compare that with the uniform flat reflections in BO.
- The AI is shoddy. Allies and enemies run past each other without noticing for a good few seconds. Enemies ignore your allies altogether sometimes to shoot at you. Allies occasionally let enemies run all the way through them to get a pop at you.
- The missions all feel the same. There's no variety in pacing. Modern Warfare had the AC310 mission and the Chernobyl sniper mission to break things up. MW2 had the Cliffhanger and oil rig mission, and even the regular missions had some ebb and flow to them. Here it's just run and gun all the time. Maybe they saved the best missions for the second half, I don't know.
- The story, well it's not terrible, but it's not motivation enough for me to plod through the game when I already have this many gripes. Some time ago, I'd have finished it just for the sake of completion but these days, there are too many things to do and too little time, so I'll pass.
Although the reports say that they've done a lot of cool stuff with the multiplayer, so if you plonked down $59 on a legit copy, at least that ought to be worth it.
Now if there's one game everyone SHOULD play, it's
this one. Get it somehow, don't go for help/walkthroughs no matter how stuck you are. Solving each one of the puzzles here is like an epiphany. In my books, one of the best examples of this medium that has ever been made:

Now that I've played it, I'd totally agree with you. CODMW2 was way better than black ops. Downloading Braid right now.
