Just heard the entire album recently, courtesy Jits
I'd heard the demo versions of Black Fortress and Devoid of Emotions a long time ago so I was really looking forward to more from these guys.
Absolutely brilliant stuff. Great to see that they avoided over-producing it and still didn't end up with something that sounds like it was recorded in the garage; I particularly loved the bass tone - nice and snarly. Live drums yes ?
The other thing that stood out for me was the quality of the vocals. Harsh, throaty and perfect for the kind of music Devoid play. "Black Fortnress", "Hate Cult" and "New World Order" are my personal highlights, with the "blinding hysteria...(?)" bit on "New World Order" being my favourite moment on the album. Would love to see these guys live sometime soon !
May I please know how I can get the album delivered as I do not live in India ? Would it be possible for me to buy it somewhere in Delhi or Bangalore, as I will be visiting over the next few weeks ? Cheers !
