Methodology:

(1) Select the best 25 in each category, based on preferences
(2) Give each a score on a 1-7 scale.
(3) Add up scores, and select the top 10. In categories with too many overlaps (for instance, best album), select the top 15.

Are you serious ? This place is like a fuckin ghost town... how many responses are you expecting ? Good lists nonetheless... I can think of several worthy additions though. Eg : Not including Warell Dane's vocal performance on TGE is a travesty IMO.. 8-)

On a couple of other forums as well. TGE just missed out, along with a couple of other really good performances. I personally prefer Dane on EOR as well.

I'd like to discuss the "merits" of the performance on EOR over that on TGE but I'm sensing a deluge of pigheadedness coming my way on that route. 8-)

I merely mentioned that I prefer Dane's vocals on EOR to TGE. Never said that was the reason dumbass.
As I said, we added up the points, and quite a few good performances couldn't make it (across all categories).
If you want the points: Dane on EOR scored 21/28, and that is actually the lowest in the ten listed. Dane on TGE scored 18. There are 5 guys above that mark (Biff Byford for Inner Sanctum, Andy Deris for 7 sinners, Khan for Karma, Halford for Crucible, Dickinson for Dance of Death)

It's a damn list! Since I am not proposing any theory here, the question of legitimacy of support/evidence doesn't even fucking arise.
For that reason, it's pointless to argue over the accuracy of a list. The idea is to come up with a consistent and comprehensive list, and for that I'd much rather prefer if you name a few bands that you think are missing here.

Hmm, sort of like the Eddie & Vic argument then ? Perhaps personal opinion, preference, accounts and even anecdotes don't always need to be scrutinized under the microscope of logic. What exactly does "we added up the points mean " ? Who scored them ? Just the 4 of you ? If that's the methodology then what good will it do for me to make recommendations ? Case in point : Dane on TGE or even DHIADW.

Anyway, don't get your panties in a bunch. I was just busting your balls.. I noticed you haven't included any "extreme vocals" at all. Perhaps a separate category for that then ?

neat thread, and must say if you guys have done your homework well on grading all of these... welldone!

Saw Dave Lombardo's name there for Christ Illusion. Just a personal opinion, had i been in the voting panel, i'd give him 11 out of 10 for World Painted Blood. It's overall killer stickwork in that album man, just plain awesome.
