A fun new gig, the Escape Summer Vibe, is all set to be held at the Seasons Hotel, Tarudhan Valley Golf Resort, Manesar on May 17. It’s a 12-hour long gig, kicking off at 2 PM, featuring an action packed multi-genre line-up, ranging from deep house to retro to dub to drum ‘n’ bass to psy trance to jazz and rock ‘n’ roll. The gig serves as a precursor to the annual Escape Festival of Arts and Music, to be held later this year.
The venue for Escape Summer Vibe, Manesar, is around 32 km from the airport in Delhi and serves as a weekend getaway destination for people from the capital. For this gig, the hotel will be divided into two zones: the Dance Arena (Pool Side) and the Chill Zone (Fountain Lawns). Some of the artists slated to perform at the Escape Summer Vibe include Fuzz Culture, Soul’d Out, BlueOrb/Buffa Pirate, Tech Panda, Minimal Monk, and more.

We spoke to Escher's Knot vocalist, Abijith Rao, about the intertwining sounds and the unbreakable bond of the 'Knot.
The Mumbai duo, Madboy/Mink, have been making generating quite a buzz with their eclectic music and engaging and energetic live sets. We had a short chat with the band about their music and their identity, among other things.

Siddharth Basrur is the owner of one of the most recognizable voices in the indie circuit these days - from Goddess Gagged to his solo stuff to his work in films and advertisements to the tons of collaborations and guest appearances he happens to do. Vishal J Singh founded the cult Amogh Symphony, and is one of the most naturally gifted metal guitar players in the country, with phenomenal chops matched by an innate ability to craft songs and transcend stylistic restrictions at ease. Naturally, the two decided to get together to form The Library, an instrumental alternative/post-rock band where they're sharing all instrumental duties.
Delhi's Barefaced Liar have made a name for themselves with their indelibly catchy modern-rock vibe, keenly intertwined with a degree of virtuosity. The band is currently in the process of working towards releasing their second album in the next couple of months, while also gigging heavily. We chat with them about the new album, opening for Hoobastank, what the future holds, and their songwriting process, among other things.
